9/10/13 - Lake Powell, AZ to Grand Canyon (South Rim), AZ

We departed the cloudy, cool temps of Page, AZ and headed for what we hoped was a warmer, dryer Grand Canyon around 8:30 a.m.

Look, there's always hope, right?...

 You'd probably be surprised to hear how quickly the weather changed on our trip - it was unbelievable!

Unfortunately, when we arrived at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, we were greeted with cool temps and cloudy skies that looked like they were ready to burst at the seams any moment!

We were able to grab a few pics (and lunch) before the skies opened up and DUMPED on us!

The rains brought the fog, the fog brought cool temps, the cool temps brought...well, you get the point!

In spite of the weather, the Grand Canyon was still an amazing site to see!  

Maybe someday we'll visit again...and pray for better weather!
